Respect for the Living

Tommy Lapid, the Holocaust survivor and anti-religious Israeli politician, has passed away (link). According to this blog, Charedi politicians are now speaking kindly of him. It is beautiful that there is no animosity shown to the deceased, but imagine what could be accomplished if we give the same respect to the living as we do to the dead.
