The funeral for R. Shmuel Berenbaum, rosh yeshiva of the Mir Yeshiva in Brooklyn, will take place on Monday morning 8:45am at the yeshiva (1795 Ocean Parkway).

I am sorry to note the passing of Mr. Jacob I. Dienstag z"l, the long-time Librarian at the Mendel Gottesman Library of Yeshiva University and author of many essays and Maimonidean bibliographies. Rarely is there a scholary discussion on Maimonides without reference, in some sort, to the bibliographic work of Mr. Jacob I. Dienstag.
