Making Coffee on Shabbos

With apologies to those whose taste buds are too sophisticated for instant coffee, the question is how to, or if one may, make instant coffee on Shabbos. Is pouring boiling water on coffee grounds considered cooking, which is forbidden on Shabbos?

The general consensus seems to be that it might be a problem and, therefore, one should pour the water into the mug first, so that it is in what is called a keli sheini rather than the pot in which it was cooked. Once it is in the keli sheini, one can pour in the instant coffee.

As always, ask your rabbi before acting on this because there are different opinions.
