Yizkor II

- Sponsored Announcement -

In a previous post (link), we discussed how the memory of a deceased person can serve as a blessing for him and for others. By remembering the positive acts and qualities of someone, we are continuing their legacy and inspiring ourselves to become more like them.

Yizkor.com is a website that enables people to preserve the memory of loved ones and allow others to gain inspiration from their stories. You can describe their qualities using text, pictures and videos (including eulogies), leaving a virtual memorial and allowing distant friends and relatives to participate somewhat in the mourning process and leave their condolences.

This seems to me like a tool that will be particularly useful regarding funerals where great rabbis give eulogies. Imagine having a central location for all pictures, videos and descriptions of funerals.
